| Is their any specific scanner for OMR processing ? | ||
No, any scanner can be used for OMR processing. But the speed of scanning plays an important role for processing of OMR forms or sheets. You can't simply believe, our software works fine on a UMAX ASTRA 4100 manual scanner that costs only Rs 3000 and we have implemented our products and such type of scanners in more than 100 coaching centres. However, for better performance, HP 8270, HP 8300, HP 8350, HP 8390 type ADF scanners could be used. Scanning speed in such scanners are 25-40 pages per minute and cost lies between Rs 27'000-Rs 64'000. Generally, we recommend scanners that are readily available in market and have a good service provider in the locality. |

The OMR software was initially developed for use in various tutorials and coaching centres. Hence it contains all features as required by a tutorial or coaching centre. Small tutorials (with less than 100 students say) can use the lowest edition of Tutorial Manager in an affordable price of Rs 50,000 or even less than that. (includes the cost of the scanner i.e Rs 3000). However, OPtical Mark Pro is an extended vesion of the former and is specifically developed for use in various entrance/public examinations where number of candidates is amazingly high. It contains all features as required by the exam. We usually use high speed ADF scanners for better performance. |

OMR software extracts and processes data from OMR sheets or forms. These data are usually stored in a well defined database. Sometimes, various information such as exam results, toppers of an exam, various notices are required to be quickly circulated among the students. Mobile SMS Pro directly extracts data from an OMR database and sentd to the concerned student or his/her parent over short message service (sms) and becomes immediately accessible in their mobiles. This software sends messages in one way and from a particular sender name as required by the user of the software. |
